Amanda Potasznik
Amanda is fluent in French and Spanish. She has taught languages for 15 years: in high schools in the United States, at the Université François Rabelais in Tours, France, and at TecMilenio University in Monterrey, Mexico. A firm believer in learning by traveling, Amanda has visited over 95 countries. When not traveling, she runs the LingoLearner YouTube channel, which is used in schools around the world and has millions of views. Amanda is also a senior lecturer in the Computer Science department at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, where she leads the Broadening Participation in Computing initiative. In 2024, she won a Distinguished Teaching Award from the College of Science and Mathematics. This year, Amanda received another honor: the UMass Boston Excellence in Teaching Award.
