Charlie Fisher
While at the University of Virginia, Charlie focused on biology before earning his master’s in teaching from Brown University. His love of science and working with young people led him to pursue a career in education, and for the past four years, he has taught high school science. Charlie is also passionate about outdoor education, spending several summers in Alaska, guiding high school students through immersive learning experiences centered on the environment and environmental justice. In addition to his teaching, Charlie volunteered as an EMT for eight years. This fall, he will continue his work as a high school science teacher, helping to inspire curiosity and environmental awareness in his students. Charlie is fluent in English, and has picked up some Spanish from his students!
