While at Muhlenberg College, Dana focused on cultural anthropology and dance performance, exploring the intersection of embodied expression and cultural identity. During her time there, she lived in Indonesia, researching traditional magic practices and how they shape youth identity in the West Java province of Banten. After graduating, she returned to Indonesia to work with the non-profit TBM-UFunder as a fundraising coordinator. Dana later earned an MFA in Devised Theatre from Rose Bruford College in London, in collaboration with Arthaus Berlin, where she conducted embodied research on borders and identity. Alongside her artistic practice, she completed a Meditation Teacher Training with the Asian Classics Institute in New York City and has since led both in-person and virtual meditation classes. One of her proudest achievements from this period was winning the WomenCinemakers Prize for an original film and being featured in the Vienna Biennale. Dana now lives in Berlin, working as a freelance performance artist focused on intercultural, interdisciplinary work that explores dispossession and cultural inheritance. She is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and German. This fall, she will continue touring her original performance piece Lejanía across Europe.
