Himraj Soin
Himraj is a Director at Ibex Expeditions, an award-winning adventure travel company based in India, planning and guiding mountain, safari, and cultural expeditions. He currently serves as a regional advisor for Baret Scholars, a global gap year organization, and is the co-founder and producer of The Outdoor Journal, a multimedia platform focused on international adventure travel. As a writer and photographer, Himraj covers international travel destinations, conservation issues, extreme adventure sports, athletes, gear, maps, and more. His work has been published in Vogue, Vice, Runner’s World, National Geographic Traveller India, Reader’s Digest UK, Condé Nast Traveller India, and The Outdoor Journal. In 2021, he helped launch The Outdoor Voyage, a booking platform focused on adventure and outdoor travel. An avid skier and climber, his expeditions have taken him to Tibet, Mongolia, Bhutan, Borneo, Madagascar, Peru, Morocco, Namibia, Argentina, Chile, Siberia, New Zealand, Antarctica, and Svalbard. Himraj was a team member on the International Antarctic Expedition, studying climate change and sustainability. Fluent in Hindi, he has led Putney and National Geographic student programs in India, Peru, Nepal, Namibia, New Zealand, Tanzania, Morocco, Iceland, Patagonia, Croatia, and Ecuador & the Galápagos. Himraj is also a certified Wilderness First Responder.
