Jahmel is an accomplished photographer, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist who received the prestigious AMPAS grant from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences while studying cinematography and directing at Columbia College Hollywood. He has produced and directed promotional content for a range of high-profile artists and companies, including Quincy Jones, Enrique Iglesias, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Rihanna, Serena Williams, and Oprah Winfrey. Jahmel co-produced the feature film Cru, which made history at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) by winning five awards, including Best Film. His production experience includes collaborations with major industry players such as AMPAS (2025 Oscars), Netflix, Amazon, and Viacom (Nickelodeon, MTV, BET), as well as work on large-scale productions such as the Grammys and the Emmys. He directed and produced the travel docu-series Black Girl Khronicles, taking viewers to destinations such as London, Paris, Iceland, and Morocco. Jahmel has led student travel programs independently and through organizations like Putney Student Travel, facilitating photography and cultural workshops in destinations such as Barcelona, Yellowstone, Iceland, and Tokyo.
