Madeline Monaco
At Cornell, Madeline double-majored in Biology & Society and French. She spent a summer abroad in Turin, Italy, studying demographics, and later took French courses at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. After graduating, Madeline moved to France, where she taught English as a foreign language in the Burgundy region, working with students of all ages across several schools. While in France, she completed her Master’s degree via distance learning at Northeastern University. Madeline currently lives in Washington, DC, where she works in international development, specializing in promotion of civic education and inclusion of women, youth, and other marginalized groups in Francophone West Africa. When not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors and tending to her balcony garden. An avid reader, Madeline is a member of two book clubs. She is also fluent in French.
