While studying at the University at Albany, Nick focused on international education and spent a semester studying abroad in Valencia, Spain. During that time, he traveled across Europe, visiting countries such as Portugal, England, France, Italy, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. These experiences deepened his interest in global cultures and inspired him to keep exploring. After earning his bachelor’s degree, Nick hit the road to discover more of the U.S., driving coast to coast twice and stopping in mountain regions to pursue his passion for snowboarding. He later returned to Albany, NY, to complete a Graduate Certificate in International Education Management, combining his global experiences with academic and professional training. Nick currently works at a local high school and also teaches snowboarding during the winter season while finishing his graduate studies. Originally from Madrid, Spain, Nick is fluent in both Spanish and English. This fall, he will join the Peace Corps and head to Costa Rica, where he will serve as a secondary English education teacher—bringing together his love of language, travel, and cross-cultural learning.
