While at Teachers College, Sebastian studied philosophy and the intersection of philosophy and education, exploring existential and post-modern thought and its implications for individual and collective potential. He has substitute taught K-8 students at the Cathedral School of St. John the Divine, where he founded and taught a philosophy elective to 5th-8th graders. He has also worked as a writing consultant at the Grace Church School (High School Division) and private tutor. He spent last summer in Italy, studying the Italian language, culture, and history, and is eager to return this summer. Sebastian is a native English speaker and proficient in Italian. He is currently finishing his Masters program, which he will complete in May, and will be pursuing full-time teaching opportunities in New York City independent schools for the Fall of 2025. Sebastian will also be continuing his personal studies in philosophy, literature, and history, and commitment to physical health and fitness.
