While at the University of Colorado Boulder, Britt focused on anthropology and became fascinated by different cultures, landscapes, and ways of understanding the world. After graduating, she began working internationally as a socio-environmental scientist at the intersection of communities, ecosystems, and water. She has traveled to more than 50 countries, collaborating with communities and governments to help address water security and climate extremes through community-led and nature-based solutions. Along the way, Britt has also documented many of the places and cultures she encounters through photography, with work featured in publications such as National Geographic Traveller India and The Washington Post. She is fluent in English and Spanish. This fall, Britt will likely be somewhere on the planet dancing, exploring, and helping to build more water-secure futures. Since 2007, she has led student travel programs in El Salvador, Spain, Belize, Australia, India, Ecuador, the Swiss Alps, Morocco, Norway, Cuba, Japan, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., Thailand, and the Harvard Chan C-Change Youth Climate and Health Summit.
