While at USFQ, Vale discovered her passion for language learning and took beginner language courses in German, French, and Portuguese. After finishing her undergraduate studies in Economics, she decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at USFQ. As part of her master’s degree program, Vale developed and implemented a plan to help improve the English program at a local school in Quito, Ecuador. During her teaching career, she has taught and supported students from almost every continent, which has helped her gain an appreciation for languages and cultural diversity. Vale is now a secondary language support teacher and an English Language Arts Teacher for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students at an international school. Besides teaching, Vale loves playing guitar at a local church, enjoys indoor rock climbing, and playing Padel. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
