Lanie’s love for Europe began at 15, when she participated in an exchange program in Cáceres, Spain. While living with her host family, she formed connections that would last a lifetime and sparked an enduring passion for travel, culture, and language. After graduating from college, Lanie returned to Spain, where she taught English as a Second Language for several years before earning a master’s degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education. Today, she brings her knowledge of Europe and her passion for meaningful travel to her work, with extensive experience programming and guiding trips across the continent. She has led Putney programs in Switzerland, Italy, France, Holland, and Spain. In her spare time she enjoys reading, biking, hiking, and of course, enjoying a plate of Spanish tapas out on a terrace!
