While at the University of Pennsylvania, Aaron studied contemporary art in a small interdisciplinary program where his practice focused primarily on photography and video. After assisting in many classes, he went on to teach photography in the undergraduate program at Penn while he was still a student by winning the Extended Studio Teaching Award. Aaron also won a position in Penn’s Silverstein Photography Studio Abroad residency program. This enabled him to go to Japan for three weeks, with all expenses paid, to create a body of photo work in Tokyo. After completing his master’s, Aaron has since relocated to Brooklyn, where he uses his diverse background to work as an Art Director in the advertising agency world, while continuing his art and photo practice in his spare time. He has led Putney programs in Italy, Greece, and Iceland.
