While studying social work at Loyola University Chicago, Becky had the opportunity to study abroad in destinations including Rome, Italy. There, she spent her days learning about Italian social work policy in the classroom and her afternoons exploring Rome. Inspired by the experience, Becky has since returned to Italy for a road trip throughout the country, deepening her appreciation for its history and culture. Currently, Becky works as a school social worker where she is dedicated to supporting students’ academic and personal growth, taking great pride in helping students overcome challenges and in creating a positive, nurturing environment for success. Passionate about mental health, Becky strives to make a meaningful impact by offering guidance to promote emotional well-being. Outside of work, she focuses on improving her Spanish skills to connect with more students and colleagues while expanding her cultural understanding. Becky looks forward to continuing her work supporting students in schools this fall, as well as continuing to be a lifelong learner and traveler.
