Margarita Cancino
While at Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, Margarita focused on interdisciplinary approaches to visual arts, combining traditional fine arts training with community-based art practices. She later earned a master’s degree in Cultural Management at Universidad de Nebrija in Spain, where she deepened her knowledge of cultural policy and creative project leadership. After completing her studies, Margarita returned to Colombia, where she has worked extensively in education and the arts—designing wellness experiences and leading creative programs for both children and adults. For over a decade, she has traveled the world with her children, turning each journey into an opportunity for learning through nature, culture, and creativity. One of her most significant accomplishments was creating a cross-cultural arts program that connected Colombian youth with communities across Latin America through both virtual and in-person exchanges. Today, Margarita works as a designer of wellbeing experiences and a mentor for entrepreneurs, guiding individuals and organizations to connect with their authenticity through art, nature, and self-awareness tools. She is fluent in Spanish and English. This summer, Margarita will continue developing her platform to support families and educators in integrating art and nature into everyday life through conscious travel and creative exploration.
