Allyson Doolittle is an AP Environmental Science teacher at a rigorous charter school in Newark. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in Environmental Studies and Anthropology, where she focused on the connection between people and the environment. During college, Allyson specialized in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and global leadership. She developed and led a GIS mapping internship that trained students in spatial analysis while contributing to local economic development initiatives. Her academic focus combined technical environmental skills with leadership development and experiential learning. In her first two years with Putney Student Travel, Allyson served on the Columbia Climate School program in Vermont, where she guided students through hands-on climate studies and field-based environmental research.
