While at the University of Denver, George studied political science and French, with a focus on international political economy and French post-colonial literature. He spent four summers leading student travel experiences across Europe, including in France, Spain, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Belgium. While completing his degree, George also worked with a nonprofit organization in his hometown of Berkeley, CA, teaching speech and debate to middle and high school students. Extended stays in France led George to become fluent in French and developed his lifelong passion for language learning (next up, Basque!). Currently, George is completing a master’s degree at the Universidad de Alcalá in Madrid, Spain, where he also works at a local high school. George is fluent in French and proficient in Spanish and Italian. This fall, George will be returning to Madrid to continue his work with high school students.
