At the University of Texas Arlington, Grecia focused her studies on French and Spanish, and spent time abroad in France studying modern multicultural Paris. After completing her degree, she accepted an opportunity with the French National Ministry of Education to teach English in France for a year, during which time she traveled extensively in Europe. The following year, Grecia returned to her hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, and worked for a top U.S. Spanish-language television network. She then moved to India to help at a nonprofit educational organization as a community development volunteer, and completed a 200-hour yoga instructor certification. Grecia is a yoga teacher, herbalist, and composter living in Mexico, where she dedicates her time to promote proper organic waste management in the Lake Chapala area. Grecia is fluent in English, French, and Spanish, and proficient in Brazilian Portuguese. This fall, Grecia will be traveling to the canyons of Northern Mexico to learn more about native land conservation practices with the local people. She has led Putney programs since 2015 in Ecuador & the Galápagos, Costa Rica, Peru, and Italy.
